JUDITH ALLEN DYE

Obituary

Judith Allen Dye, 76 of Auxvasse passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by family following a vigilant battle with cancer.

She was born in Walcott, Arkansas on September 23, 1940, the daughter of the late James W. May and the late Juanita (Pinson) May.

Judith was united in marriage to Henry Eugene “Gene” Dye who preceded her in death on May 19, 1990.

The only thing she loved as much as her family was spending time helping children learn to read. Judith was active with the Grandparent Program of Callaway County and spent many years volunteering at Auxvasse Elementary. Her hobbies included reading, NASCAR, attending her granddaughter’s pageants, watching the Olympics, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved animals, sewing, and Elvis Presley. She loved being near the ocean so she could see and hear the waves and recall memories of her childhood spent by the beach.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Dye of Auxvasse; daughters, Chicky Taylor (Ron) of Auxvasse, and Brooke Fountain (Lewey) of Fulton; and four grandchildren, Shane Dye, Brandon Rombach, Hanna Taylor, and London Fountain.

Along with her parents and husband, Judith was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Dye Kelley.

Per her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Auxvasse Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Callaway County Humane Society, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.

Judy was a really nice Lady. She made me the most amazing keepsakes when my son and daughter were born. She made figurines of a little boy and little girl in her kiln. My son Eric is 36, my daughter is 33 and I still have these wonderful keepsakes. I remember Judy, Gene and their kids very fondly. I'm so very sorry that your Mama has left your earthly side, but, I'm positive she's making beautiful keepsakes in Heaven.
